About us
Who we are
Our mission is to transform access to physical therapies for adults with muscular dystrophy (MD) in the Midlands. MD Support Centre was set up as a Charity in 2012 and is led by people with, or affected by, MD. From our main centre in Coventry, and with satellite clinics in Birmingham, the Black Country, Leicester and Daventry, we currently support over 600 registed service users with MD by providing specialist physiotherapy, osteopathy and complementary therapies on a long-term basis. We are the only organisation in the Midlands region to do so, and one of only two in the UK.

MDSC wholeheartedly supports the principle of equal opportunities in employment and opposes all forms of unlawful or unfair discrimination on the grounds of age, gender, colour, race, nationality, ethnic or national origin, religion, sexual orientation, marital status or disability. We believe that it is in the Charity’s best interests, and those of all who work in it, to ensure that the talents and skills available throughout the full community are considered when employment opportunities arise.
